A selection of recent projects.
Challenge: Create a Chrome extension to deliver audio content to listeners of The Economist Radio's programming.
Solution: A Chrome extension delivers an RSS feeed from acast using a custom JavaScript library. The UI is implemented using Angular and leverages Chrome's message passing for seamless background playback and pop-up control.
Challenge: Build an API for user accounts, user data and community features. Replicate mobile app community views on the web.
Solution: A Heroku-hosted hapi application manages user accounts and network-connected features. Angular provides access to administrator tools and will soon deliver community previews on the Pocket Yoga website to desktop and mobile users without the native app.
Challenge: Design an ecosystem for managing user permissions, storing web links and controlling command center displays remotely.
Solution: A responsive web app provides control over organizations' assets and user permissions. An accompanying Chrome extension enables real-time control of command center displays for Ideacage's customers. Together they allow for control of command centers from any device, anywhere.
Challenge: Expand dashboard features, improve site performance and implement an API for clients' third party data integrations.
Solution: HedgeChatter dashboard performance is improved using nightly rolling JSON caches for caching large sets of historical stock data. A lightweight API, implemented in PHP, uses existing infrastructure to deliver data directly to clients with API access.
